Berlin
Monday May 18th, 2015
Last week I’ve been to Berlin for 3 days – it was my first time ever. We had the greatest time and the most perfect hotel. We stayed at the 25hours Hotel next to the Zoo and had an amazing „jungle view“ room. Waking up to animal sounds (mostly birds and monkeys) was really relaxing. I could watch the orang-utans right from the bed. After our first night I felt so recovered – this hotel was exactly what I needed for our getaway after some stressful weeks.
We also did a bit of sightseeing, but the „East-Side Gallery“ was definitely the most memorable sight for me. I can really recommend walking along the wall, especially when you catch nice weather.
Fortunately we did catch some sun but it was still way colder than in Vienna. So layering is definitely necessary when visiting Berlin. Here’s my Berlin look which made me survive the struggle between clouds and wind versus sun.
We’re already planning our next trip to Berlin and I’m excited to hear some tips from you! Sights, restaurants, going-out, shopping – whatever. What are your „must-sees“?
